It isn't the amount of weight that is being lifted that makes one (using the term): hardcore. Like Steve, I do not like the term hardcore either. However, if I were to put it in proper context and change the general definition of the word, to me, its in the preparation consistency and hard work to---be able to lift that heavy weight, or obtain and earn ones personal goal (s).
