Spot Reduction, the myth but is it? This topic was raised a few years ago, elsewhere and people noted that they had indeed less noticeable bodyfat in areas of the body that were utilised more. I have since come across information which shows a study (yeah, I know ) indicates that the muscles being used draw a certain percentage of their energy directly from the fat above/around the muscle in question.

That's not to say that diet isn't the main key for fat reduction just that the area being worked may have some spot reducing ability.
