The heavy day
As always i appreciate your responses to my questions.
i have a quest regarding the heavy day.
I really have issues (although caloric surplus) to progress on them.
My heavy day is 3x5 with full rest and the light is 3x10-15. The light day progress well.
Some ideas? Interestingly when i trained some time ago for 4 sets in the 6-8 range to failure or even 3x3 to failure (!) with 3-4 min rest and needed to decrease the weight each set to fall in the rep range again i progressed quite fast and good but overreached after 3 weeks.
But I favour sets across nowdays because they dot burn me mentally and physically out.
What should i change? Leave more reps in the tank? Increase volume to 5x5?
How much progress can I expect on this day in general?
