The irony is my questioning regarding the light weights was because I wanted to lead into a discussion regarding the benefit of form practice with light weights. On the one hand people may say form can and should be practice with light weights, on the other hand others may say that a heavy weight changes your form due to the load placed on the body and practice can only be done with challenging weights.
There is quite a good discussion to be had on that topic if the discussion had actually carried on. I would be happy to have that discussion in another thread as it's something I have thought about a lot.
