I attended a USA Weightlifting certification this weekend because I need it for graduate school in the fall. Plus I really wanted to learn how to teach the olympic lifts properly. It was an extremely enlightening experience and I was able to meet a lot of successful weightlifting/powerlifting coaches. I was very unfamiliar with eastern methods of developing strength but it seems they use a volume approach instead of an intensity approach like we do (Americans). It seems there may be something to this so I am going to experiment a little just for fun. I do not really care what I am doing with my own training right now as long as I am in the gym doing work and making progress.
So the experiment begins just for fun...
