When I've not eaten enough protein I don't sleep well, and generally feel like crap. I felt this way last Friday when I got home from work.
I had a cheap piece of flat steak that I bought and took out. I cooked it in some real butter, and a little salt and pepper. Ate all of it. About 20oz's worth of meat, and probably about 1 TBL's of real butter. I slept much better that night, and felt a whole lot better the next day.
Ate a steak yesterday for dinner around 4:00pm. Slept good last night, even though I had to get up at 3:00am this morning.
Eating carbs does not give me this feeling of being satisfied with my food. Carbs just fill me up, but do not satisfy me the way a good meal of protein does.
Eat your carbs if you want. I'll eat my protein. You gonna finish that bacon?
