I'm like T-bone. The plates. Hitting 225 meant you were in the club of decent lifters in most regular guy gyms. But 3pps is the big time for squat and bench, 4pps for deadlift in all but elite gyms. Those are the big numbers for me. I want to hit 3/4/5 by the time I'm 50. Only 3 years and about 300 lbs to go.
However if you want my real deep, dark secret number, it's 225 for a clean and press. When I hit that, I will truly be complete. Well, at least until I feel the need to hit 230 next !
