My take is that it really depends of your somatic type.
For instance, I am an endomorphic person (7 points endo, 3 points mezo)...and from my experiments, I need about 300 grams of protein/day, in order to grow. The problem, however, is with the carbs/fats, as without them, you can eat as much protein you want, as you won't grow too much. In fact, eating insanely high protein based meals will in long term, **** your kidneys...
The point is that you need to experiment. Start with the lowest number you can think at, and then increase it gradually.
