My wife is having trouble gaining weight right now for her pregnancy. I gave her my universal rules for gaining weight;
1. If it can go with cheese, cover it in cheese.
2. If it can go with peanut butter, cover it in peanut butter.
3. If you have to cook it, cook it in oil.
Of course, her problem is that the pregnancy is throwing off her normal hunger levels. She'll order a large meal, then when it shows up she isn't hungry any more.
Personally, I have no clue how someone can have trouble gaining weight when every fast food place has a dollar menu.
