Another thing to think about is how wide are the handles you are dipping on?

Unless you have a "V" handle and can pick your own stance, you might be dipping too wide and going quite low but risking injury, or you might be too narrow and have no chance of getting low.

As always, there's never an easy answer for a seemingly straightforward question.
