I try to use a double overhand grip whenever I can, I do all of my warmups and lighter sets with a hook grip but when the weights get heavy I use a alternate grip. I never change this grip for the same reasons as everyone else. It feels natural and I want everything to feel natural when picking up a huge weight from the floor.
