For some unknown reason, my Bench has not been progressing on this routine. It has, unfortunately, been regressing. This week, I am down in reps. It's not regressing a whole lot, but enough to take notice. I have absolutely no idea why. My form is good, as you have all seen by my past few weeks of vids. The issue seems to be I simply don't have the benching strength I used to have.
All my other lifts have been going great.
Not sure if I should make sure I always rest the day before benching. This would add a day or 2 to the 12 day cycle. perhaps I should drop the weights back down. Perhaps I should modify bench day only on this routine to more of a 531 style? I say this because I enjoyed my best benching success ever while on 531. My best benching on 531 was 225 X6 with a 1 RM of 255. I would be very lucky to get 2 reps at 225 today.
I absolutely do not want to change routines. I chose this routine mainly to improve my squat, as I do squat every 4 days. It really is working. The more I squat, the better and stronger I will get. I absolutely cannot wait to lift every training day on this routine. The Oly Lifts are even making it more fun and exciting.
Any suggestions would be more than welcome.
