The top two pics are from his competitive days. Reeves had a very short career as a competitive bodybuilder, due to the films. And, the directors those days wanted him to cut
his weight for the movies. In fact, in one of his later movies, "The Giant of the Marathon", they got Reeves down to just under 190 lbs to seem a bit more realistic for the epic marathon run.
I always thought that Reeves, from Mr World or Mr Universe shows looked much better, stronger and bigger as compared to the movies (possibly including Hercules movies).
Secondly, Parks at his best was 6' 1.5" around 220 lbs. Reeves was 6'1" around 215 lbs, with a smaller bone structure. Its amazing how both had pretty close measurements at their peaks and yet looked so dramatically different.
Parks was strong as a horse. But Reeves was no sissy either. A 400lbs deadlift, while holding the plates at the end of the barbell is one hell of a strength feat. Here's some numbers at subsequent attempts at this lift ...
