Consider if you will...
I work in the IT industry, as a Database Admin and software engineer. I'm back in school getting the degree i need to advance to a level commensurate with my experience and ability. The kids i see in my classes are children still in their ability to cope with the outside world. They think they will like computer science because they like video games and online porn.
These same kids fail miserably. We aren't churning out top tier people like we can. Its not that these kids are dumb. Its that they are undisciplined. Apply this to Math, science, lifting in any aspect and I see the same thing. Hard work is all that is needed to excel, but when they fail in a video game, the game automatically makes it easier the next mission.
I like video games as much as the next guy, and I don't think the games are an issue, but rather a symptom of the rot and decay that has taken our younger generations away from a bright path and made them think that one day everything will just work out in their favor. Its a shame, and I wish I knew how to wake them up from it.
