Finally made it to the gym today for some squats with the new shoes. I have to say these are some great shoes! These things are very stable, nice and wide, but not too much. The heel height really showed me how weak my quads are, Damn my quads are already sore!

I didn't get any magical increases in working capacity 280x7 vs 285x6 w/ shoes, but my mechanics/form felt the best it has ever felt, no tight hips in the bottom, no tipping forward out of the hole. If my quads hadn't cramped up so much I could have probably pushed through another rep or two.

I think I'll still be using my Asics wrestling shoes for deadlifts as I prefer a fairly wide stance and I think the heel height would be counter productive with a wide stance (squat or deadlift).
