some "split-routiners" at the gym keep mocking at me: "why don't you drop these little plates and put up some real weight instead?"

yet, one by one, I'm consistently adding weight, in full range and good form. meanwhile, they're trying to "half bench press" with the same weight I do, having a spotter assisting them from the very first rep.

I try and tell them: "guys, you should stop trying to jump from 110lbs to 132 on the bench (they couldn't even handle properly the 110lbs in the first place). use the little ones instead..."

But they just won't listen.

Let's see who'll be laughing by the end of the year
