very true. It was a big slap in the face to me just now. I have the habit of giving ood advice but not following it. Especially now that we have the 25# challenge going. It is time for me to change things a little bit and actually deload. It's not the best timing and may stop me from making my goals (for the challenge). I will be better in the long run though.
Keep in mind you can always deload squat and bench one week and deload deadlifts and overheads the next, or whatever you need to let your body rest. I would say out of every 6 week cycle, the 7th you should always rest. If you can get away with it go for it, for me I am gonna be a fat ass on thanksgiving and enjoy myself =)
