Body Transformation: Agantha Peszt Loses 70 Pounds
At 5’6″, and 207 pounds, Agatha Peszt entered her first year of college in horrible shape. In 2003, a trip to Disney, and a photo taken with Mickey Mouse, turned her life around. “Upon my return, I developed the pictures and sat down to have a look with the rest of my family. This was my wake-up call. Somehow prior to seeing these pictures I was still in denial of just how overweight I really was.”
Knowing little about diet and exercise, Agatha turned to the popular Atkins diet, and then finally the South Beach diet. But all was not well. Agatha got down to 150 pounds, but was still eating too much fast food. She began to gain weight again, pushing the scale back over 170.
In was at this time that Agatha found bodybuilding, and went scientific. She began eating a 30-40-30 carb/protein/fat ratio, and performing cardio 5 days a week. Finally, by the end of 2007, Agatha Peszt hit her goal. And she has not looked back.
“I also weight train 4 days a week. Before every workout I do a 10 minute warm-up on the elliptical. I usually do 4 sets of 12,12,10 and 8 reps, first being a warm up set, and the last being my “lift until you can’t lift no more” set, with about 60-90 seconds rest in between. I start off light and increase weights with every set. My rule of thumb is that if I’m not struggling past my 6th rep on my last set then I am not lifting heavy enough.”
