When bodybuilders transform their body, it often consists of 2 main stages: bulking and cutting.

During a bulk, people tend to gain as much size as possible; gaining a combination of muscle and fat.

A bodybuilder must make many sacrifices when undergoing these 2 different phases.

When bulking, one must be willing to gain fat in order to add extra muscle.

And when cutting, one must be ready to be hungry and irritable at times in their quest for six-pack abs.

Although it’s not easy, there ARE ways to build muscle and burn fat at the same time, helping you get jacked without getting fat.

…And helping you burn fat without having to worry about losing muscle.

One of the best ways to build muscle and burn fat simultaneously is to take specific steroids that have anabolic AND fat-burning properties.

Generally, steroids will either help you build muscle OR burn fat.

However, there a few which do both equally as well.

1. Trenbolone

Trenbolone Chemical Structure

Trenbolone is generally used when bulking because it’s one of the best steroids you can take to build muscle. However, it’s also very effective during a cut because it’s also an effective fat burner.

Generally, Tren’s muscle-building attributes outweigh its fat-burning effects, but nonetheless, it can do both.

It’s common for experienced bodybuilders to gain 10lbs from a trenbolone cycle, which is exceptional considering the weight you’ll gain from tren will be virtually all muscle.

Also if you’re taking trenbolone you won’t be new to steroids, because of the severity of the compound. Thus you would’ve taken several steroid cycles before.

By this point, you would’ve almost plateaued and thus a gain of 10lbs is very impressive. If a beginner were to take tren (which isn’t recommended), they’re likely to gain 2-3x this amount of muscle.

Trenbolone users are usually easy to detect, as they typically have exceptionally developed trapezius and deltoid muscles.

There are more androgenic receptors in these muscles, and thus when you take a particularly androgenic steroid, like trenbolone; they tend to blow up in size.

Therefore guys who have 3D shoulders and cobra-looking traps are likely to be cycling tren.

Tren also has diuretic properties, so it’ll make you look more shredded than usual when on-cycle (due to less extracellular water retention).

Trenbolone side effects:

  • Anxiety

Trenbolone has a very high anabolic/androgenic rating of 500, thus tren will produce the normal side effects of AAS, but with more severity.

Therefore, trenbolone isn’t recommended for beginners due to the harshness of this steroid.

Trenbolone doesn’t convert into estrogen, however, it can still cause gyno (man boobs), which comes as a surprise to some users.

Tren can cause this due to it increasing prolactin levels, via stimulation of the pituitary gland. Estrogen and prolactin receptors are found in breast tissue, and thus a rise in either of these hormones can (in theory) cause gynecomastia.

Trenbolone Acetate

Trenbolone acetate is almost universally regarded as the most potent steroid to pack muscle mass onto the human body.

Trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate is the longest trenbolone ester.

It has a half-life of about 14 days. It is sold under the trade name Parabolan.

Because it is released slowly into your system, Tren Hexa is more able to be tolerated than either enanthate or acetate.

Even though it is not as quick-acting, many people find Tren Hexa to be more potent in the long run in terms of its ability to build mass and strength while stripping off body fat.

Dosage: 200mg-500mg per week; with cycles lasting 8-12 weeks.

Trenbolone Cycle

Here is a typical Trenbolone Acetate first cycle . . .

Winstrol is a great fat burner and because of this, it’s a popular cutting steroid.

However, Winstrol is also one of the best cutting compounds when it comes to building muscle; as it’s still a very anabolic steroid.

Here is a common beginner’s Testosterone Acetate cycle for bodybuilders . . .

4. Human Growth Hormone

Not officially a steroid, however HGH is a worthy mention.

HGH has only just come to the fore in the last 30 years. As a result, many bodybuilders are bigger than ever before; whilst being more ripped than they’ve ever been.

Combining insulin with human growth hormone is thought to be the culprit of the infamous steroid gut that we see in many professional bodybuilders today. HGH by itself may cause this protruding-stomach effect, due to it enlarging your organs (including the intestines).

However, combining it with insulin is thought to exacerbate this adverse effect.

If your goal is to take steroids and keep a tiny waist, you’re unlikely to achieve this whilst taking HGH, especially with the presence of insulin.

Human growth hormone is also a relatively healthy compound to take (unless you abuse it), as your body’s natural HGH production declines as you grow older; making it effective for anti-aging and boosting collagen in the skin.

Dianabol and legal alternatives

Otherwise known as D-Bol for short. Dianabol is the king of bulking steroids and is without doubt the most talked about anabolic on the planet. This is because nothing quite compares to D-Bol in terms of the amount of strength/muscle you can gain on cycle.

D-Bol is a very, very powerful steroid and is capable of turning a skinny beanpole into a beast of a man. Arnold also admitted to taking D-Bol to aid muscle growth and many people believe he was the greatest bodybuilder that’s ever lived.

The only drawbacks with Dianabol is that it does come with some water retention that is dependent upon the dose. Arnold took this steroid back in the 70’s and he didn’t look like he was holding much water so this does depend on the individual person. Also D-bol has the potential to elevate your blood pressure temporarily, however this will regulate back to normal post cycle.

STACK for More Gains

If you want to burn a significant amount of fat AND build a considerable amount of muscle fast; users may take several of the steroids mentioned in this article at the same time.

Bodybuilders often stack testosterone and trenbolone together for 8 weeks, which almost always results in exceptional muscle gains; and considerable fat loss.

You can stack HGH with testosterone or/and Winstrol; however, you can run HGH for several months at a time.

Whereas Winstrol shouldn’t be cycled for longer than 8 weeks. HGH is typically pretty expensive, so if you want cost-efficient gains, you may want to opt for another compound.

Stacking any of these steroids together will increase lean muscle mass, and decrease body fat significantly. However, you should take your time and consider whether the side effects are worth it in order to experience the gains you’re after.

Another possible option is to try legal steroid alternatives before you start purchasing illegal anabolics on the black market.

Note: A good way to monitor your gains would be to take photos (rather than weighing yourself). For example, you may gain 10lbs of muscle and lose 10lbs of fat – yet the scales may stay at the same number.

Anavar

Anavar is also known as Oxandrolone. It is an oral steroid that has been around since 1962 when it was developed to increase lean muscle mass in people with muscle-wasting diseases.

While it is mainly used by bodybuilders when they are on a cutting cycle, it also increases strength and muscle mass. It is known for producing lean muscle gains that are free from water weight or bloating.

The side effects that come with Anavar are relatively mild. It will produce less liver toxicity than most steroids, with no problems with gyno or water retention.

Anavar is one of the most expensive steroids that you can buy.

By adding Anavar (oxandrolone) into your stack you’ll benefit from accelerated fat loss, strength increases; and possibly some muscle gain.

Although you won’t build a tonne of muscle on var, it’s fat-burning effects are notable; reducing your body fat percentage with a calorie-controlled diet.

Also, Anavar won’t cause any water retention, so it’s more appealing to bodybuilders trying to look as aesthetic as possible. It’s also a steroid more suited to beginners because its side effects are very mild compared to other AAS.

Although Anavar isn’t excessively anabolic in nature, it does cause a significant increase in strength due to its positive effect on DHT levels; so if more strength is your objective, throwing Anavar into the mix will almost certainly help you hit new PR’s.

Dianabol is famous for its sheer power when it comes to packing on muscle and increasing strength. If your objective is to build more muscle than to burn fat; adding Dianabol into your stack can help you do just that.

You won’t burn a noticeable amount of fat if you take Dianabol by itself; but if you’re taking testosterone and Anavar, then you throw Dbol into the equation, you’ll build a significant amount of muscle and burn some fat.

Dianabol isn’t the steroid for you if you want to look ripped, as it will cause your muscles to look smooth, instead of dry and grainy. However, it’s arguably the best compound you can take to build muscle (in the world).

Anadrol is the other compound that can rival Dianabol in terms of gains. It’s an incredibly powerful AAS when it comes to packing on muscle, but it’s equally as harsh when it comes to side effects; causing a noticeable amount of water retention/bloating during your cycle.

However, if you’re an experienced steroid user and you want to take your muscle/strength gains to the next level, adding Anadrol into your stack will certainly help.

Steroids that compliment Anadrol well are trenbolone (although the side effects will be very severe on these 2 AAS) and Winstrol.

Also with tren and Winny you’ll be able to burn fat; whilst building a significant amount of mass from Anadrol.

Note: Bodybuilders don’t usually run Anadrol for more than 4 weeks (6 weeks absolute maximum), due to the high toxicity of this steroid. If you are going to use such powerful compounds, it’s wise to keep the cycles short and the dosages reasonable, to minimize the risk of any damage to your body.

In terms of Anadrol dosage, bodybuilders take it in the range of 50-100mg. Novices may sometimes take 25mg to err on the side of caution. And 100mg doses per day are only reserved for experienced steroid users.

As a 40 year old Man that has “Never” been able to put on weight,”Period”! I’ve literally spent thousands and thousands on so called “Legal Steroids” and just about every single Protein/Work Out Nutrients available. I’m 6’2″ tall and I typically walk around between 165-175 lbs. I have how ever managed to reach 188 lbs. Once in my lIfe! I can Hit the Gym Extremely Hard to avail. So I’d like to know, Exactly whitch do You recommend that I stack? and how often? Also I drive a Truck Over the Road! So what works best for someone with My attributes that may not be able to get to the gym exactly every day. But I do have ample time for “Dumbbells”. One more thing, I probably should’ve started with. I woukd like to “Bulk Up” something Serious!! Im talking pack on the pounds of Muscle Fast as possible. But also keep at least 75% or so of it on “off Cycle”. Any info given would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

At 40, if your looking into this, you need to get blood work done prior by a dr. This is because the PEDs will elevate certain levels in your body. You need to make sure you dont have high cholesterol or blood pressure prior to usage, or this can lead to heart issues. Also they need to check kidney and liver function. Make sure you have regular acts of cardio in your life. Also a legit lifting plan. If you want to bulk, do all the most basic lift. For back, its rows, lat pull downs, and dead lifts. For shoulders its, delt lifts and military presses. You can add more but make sure the basics are done with proper form. Also you need to make sure you are eatting 6 times a day. If you cant do any of this, then you dont even need to consider any PEDs as you are not doing enough to make it worth it. It’s really the last thing you need to gain. It’s a juggling act. All the balls must be in air for this to work right. Even before starting PEDs, you should be lifting in this manor to get this going. Once you got it all going, figure out what steriod wortks for what you need. There not all the same. For bulking, there are a few options. There is tried and true testosterone. There is also Danibol, Deca, Halodrol, Halo test, turanabol, and trenbolin. DO NOT TAKE TRENBOLIN. It can make you go down right crazy. It’s the most hardcore and really with it the most side effects. This can make you mentally snap, become paranoid, and later suicidal. All steroids have pluses and negatives. What ever steriod, you go with take it for 6 to 8 weeks, and up to 16 weeks if you choose testosterone. Also before you even take a single steroid, you should also have a PCT or post cycle therapy drug ready for after you finish. This is a MUST!! The end of the cycle will shut your down. You need to take a PCT to start producing your own testosterone again, as you wont once you start your steroid. Steroids will supplement the body’s own testosterone, and with it suppresses production. Once again, you need to have a PCT for after, Clomid. You want enough based on your cycle. Small cycle wont need as much as larger or more agressive steriod cycles. its best to get all you need prior to starting. Also this is another tip. Check out your schedule a head of time. You need to be able to take your PEDs and PCT to make this work. So let’s say you have a vacation planned or going to be somewhere not home for a few days, you need to be able to take your stuff. Skipping days can through off your system. You dont want to let’s say take a week long vacation, and with it fly, and with that go though a security check point with a bag of steroids. There felonies. You cant fly with them unless you have a prescription. So keep this in mind. It’s a lot of planning. Its nothing to just try for fun or novelty.
