Arms Bent or Locked When Deadlifting?
Your arms must be locked when your deadlift. If they are bent, when you attack the weight and jerk it up, your arms will snap into a locked position, causing an unwanted chain reaction. Generally your butt will rise up next, putting you into a horrible position for lifting the weight. You will be off balance, and at risk for injury.
