    Hi,

I have a 2-yr. old Microtek ScanMaker i320 that has worked fine…until I bought a new HP Media Center PC, model m7248n, running Windows XPMedia.
I installed the drivers from the scanner’s CD and from the Microtek website. I’ve used 3 different USB 2.0 cables, two different 2.0 hubs and also plugged directly into the computer.
I’ve installed and uninstalled manually, from the device manager, with the uninstall button and probably a few other ways that I don’t remember off-hand. No matter how I do it, all I get is that the scanner can’t be found, even though a message screen will show that a “new USB ICE device was found”, but the scanner icon keeps the red X over it. Any help will be much appreciated.

    Please help.

I didn’t find the right solution from the Internet.
